The Purdue University College of Pharmacy’s Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development is pleased that you are taking advantage of this new and very beneficial opportunity – learning and applying the first steps in speaking Spanish to better communicate with a portion of the patients you care for each day. As the Hispanic population in the United States grows to an estimated 132 million by 2050, more individuals are in need of linguistically diverse healthcare providers. An insufficient number of Spanish-speaking pharmacists exist to meet the needs of the Spanish-speaking population.
