Basic Mandarin Chinese

This non-credit course is designed for adult beginners with no or very little prior knowledge of Mandarin Chinese. Focusing on spoken Chinese, this course will train the participants’ basic conversational skills in Mandarin Chinese with topics ranging from greeting, talking about professions to introducing family and making small talks. Cultural topics such as family, cuisine, tourism, career and education will be introduced as well. After this course, participants will be able to function socially in everyday situations when communicating with the Chinese. While memorizing the Chinese characters is optional, we will also introduce the essentials of Chinese characters, or Hanzi, to give the learners a full picture of Mandarin Chinese. Course materials will be provided.

Green Manufacturing Generalist

The Green Generalist Online training is designed as an awareness and culture-change program for all positions and all business sectors, and will take two to four hours to complete. It introduces the many concepts and issues that are part of sustainability or "green," and teaches you how to apply environmentally-friendly practices in the workplace, on your schedule. Upon completion of this module, you will receive a certificate of completion.

The online Six Sigma Green Belt Refresher is designed for previously certified professionals who would like to brush up on their Lean Six Sigma Green Belt-level knowledge and/or prepare to complete Purdue University's online Lean Six Sigma Black Belt course. Because courses offered by other providers may diverge somewhat from Purdue's own course, our Green Belt Refresher helps ensure that all of the students who enroll in the Black Belt course have the necessary tools to succeed.
