Industry Partnership Program Student Information

Purdue University is pleased to see the value that your employer has placed on education and learning in your workplace and is excited to have your group as a preferred educational partner.

A benefit of this partnership is an industry partner rate in tuition for employees of participating companies or organizations. Each program has different fees and a pre-approved industry partner rate. Please talk to your Admissions Advisor for specific program information.

To be eligible for the industry partner rate, employees of an organization:

  • must be accepted into the online program in compliance with our normal admissions process, accept the terms and conditions related to admission for credit programs.
  • must produce documentation before the first day of the start of the semester to verify employment by corporate partner organization. (If documentation is provided after the start of the semester, the student will receive the discount for the next subsequent semester.)
  • must remain employed by the corporate partner during enrollment to continue receiving the industry partner rate and submit annual verification to confirm continued employment.
  • must observe the Purdue University academic integrity policy.
  • maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher to remain eligible to participate.

Submit one of the following items by email to Admissions Advisor before the first day of classes for the upcoming academic term.

  • business card
  • scan of employee name badge
  • corporate letterhead
    • Name
    • Employer
    • Degree Program
    • Starting term for the discounted rate
    • Estimated graduation term
    • Statement: Please consider me for the Industry Partnership Discount Program.
    • Signature by a supervisor or HR representative.

Additional Stipulations:

  • Partnerships with Edcor and EdAssist have signed agreements and the Industry Partnership Program is only applicable for newly recruited students. Rates are not retroactive and students currently enrolled in an approved program cannot participate.
  • Once the student has been coded in the system participating in the Industry Partner Rate Program, the rate is only good as long as the student is continuously enrolled. If the student should lay out a semester, upon returning the student will be subject to the University tuition and fees. If a student must lay out for a period due to unavoidable reasons, the student should seek prior approval before withdrawing from the program.
  • Companies may have internal approval processes independent of Purdue University’s Industry Partnership Rate Approval Process. Students are responsible for satisfying any requirements imposed by their employer.
  • Questions, concerns, or appeals to any decisions made in regards to Industry Partnership rates should be in writing before the end of the first week of classes to for consideration for the current term.

Because Purdue University’s Industry Partnership approval process is independent of what your company may require, Purdue Online will only approve students to participate that have completed the process by the appropriate deadlines.

Once approved and the tuition reduction is applied, Purdue Online will send an email confirmation to the student.

The terms of the partnership between Purdue University and your employer will be reviewed annually and are subject to change, terminate, or cancel at any time by either party via written correspondence.

We welcome you to Purdue University as a new student and look forward to serving you.
